I read topic 1430 : I will try to give you a process dump.

I read topic 1439 : will it be a solution to give V1.6-311 to the customer ?

I recommend to wait for V1.6-312 which will be issued 15-20 Jan.

Help will be appreciated.

I will do an IPMT but I need some advice.

Maria.

    Maria,
       We will need a process dump from the console controller. You will
    need to edit the file SYS$STARTUP:CONSOLE$STARTUP.COM and find the
    following line:

    $ Install ADD Console$Image:console$Daemon.exe   /Open/Share/Header/Priv=ALL

    Comment this line out and then do the following

    @sys$startup:console$startup restart

    When the process crashes there will be a CONSOLE$DAEMON.DMP file
    in CONSOLE$TMP:. Make sure this file is copied out of CONSOLE$TMP:
    *before* PCM is restarted otherwise CONSOLE$STARTUP.COM will delete it.
    Make this file available ont he net and post a pointer to it.

    Regards,
       Dan
1456.6Dumps and IPMTPRSSOS::MENICACCIMon Jan 13 1997 01:5021
	Hi,

I did an IPMT and you can find a saveset on RIVOLI:: (47.115) MICHELIN.BCK
which contains :

CONSOLE$DAEMON.DMP;4
CONSOLE$DAEMON.DMP;3
CONSOLE$DAEMON.LOG;2
CONSOLE$ENS_DAEMON.DMP;1
CONSOLE_CFG.DAT;1
CONTROLLER_01.LOG;1
CONTROLLER_02.LOG;1

At the moment of the accvio, two dumps console$daemon.dmp are created (separated
by a few seconds).

The logs have been created with console$debug "ipc,shr,all".

Hope this helps,

Maria.

	Hi Dan,

did you have time to work on these dumps ?

The process did run without problems during 3 days and now the problem occurs
again.

I have no news from my IPMT.

Have you some hints to give ?

Thanks for your help.

    Maria,
      I apoloigize for not updating you. I did some work on these and NSI
    thinks they have it fixed in the V1.6-312 build. I too am waiting for
    them to announce it.
