POLYCENTER Event Central was planned on Windows NT, but it isn't going to happen. CA have a product called Automation Point which does primitive hardware console management. You have to be very precise with this term as far as CA are concerned. For example, they claim Console Management for Unicenter - but what they have is the ability to parse the syslog under UNIX (Whatever flavour) on a single node basis - not what we call console management. Automation Point is currently on OS/2 only, and comes from their IBM background. It is currently being ported to NT. However, if they plan to replace PCM with this product - they have a long way to go - A very long way. Shaun |
