1397.0. "UNIX kit structure (CD vs net kit)" by NETRIX::"[email protected]" (Heinz Kenntner) Mon Sep 30 1996 08:31

The kit (dcrosf162.tar) on the internal net (csc32::PCM$KITS:)
has the following structure

rwxr-xr-x 0/0 0 Mar 4 18:00 1996 ./
rwxrwxr-x 0/0 0 Mar 4 18:00 1996 ./instctrl
rw-rw-r-- 0/0 2939 Mar 4 17:59 1996 ./instctrl/DCROSF162.inv
rw-rw-r-- 0/0 141 Mar 4 17:59 1996 ./instctrl/DCROSF162.ctrl
rw-rw-r-- 0/0 0 Mar 4 18:00 1996 ./instctrl/DCR162.comp
rw-r--r-- 0/0 2830 Mar 4 18:00 1996 ./instctrl/DCROSF162.scp
rw-rw-r-- 0/0 23 Mar 4 18:00 1996 ./instctrl/DCR.image
rw-rw-r-- 0/0 6113280 Mar 4 18:00 1996 ./DCROSF162
rw-rw-r-- 0/0 20480 Mar 4 18:00 1996 ./INSTCTRL
rw-rw-r-- 0/0 23 Mar 4 18:00 1996 ./DCR.image

while the kit on the CD has this structure:

-rwxr-xr-x 1 root system 1464320 Jun 18 22:00 DCROSFBASE160
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root system 2908160 Jun 18 22:00 DCROSFBIN160
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root system 337920 Jun 18 22:00 DCROSFENS160
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root system 20480 Jun 18 22:00 DCROSFMAN160
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root system 542720 Jun 18 22:00 DCROSFMAPS160
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root system 10240 Jun 18 22:00 DCRREL160
drwxr-xr-x 2 root system 1024 Jun 27 23:39 instctrl

So the subsets differ quite substantially.
Any insight which one is the better/right one to use ?

Thnx and cheers

You need to install both kits. The kit on CD is PCM V1.6. The kit on
    CSC32 is ECO2 for V1.6
