1393.4 | You should install new UID files | ALEXWS::IGOR | Igor Skapinker, NSI | Thu Oct 03 1996 01:42 | 19 |
| Hello,
As it written in the README.FIRST file in the patch directory
(alexws::disk$public:[pcm.unix_307a]) you should install the UID
files. UID files are located in the same directory.
4. Copy the .uid files (console_eventlist_en_GB.uid and
console_eventlist_en_US.uid) to the directory
/usr/opt/DCR160/lib/X11/uid/OSF.
BTW, the new patch 308 is already available.
It also contains these UID files. The patch is located on the node
ALEXWS in the directory DISK$PUBLIC:[PCM.UNIX_308]. You can copy the tar
file and install the patch according to README.FIRST files.

1393.5 | Sorry, mistyped filename | ROM01::CALDONI | | Fri Oct 04 1996 08:06 | 2 |
| Thanks, the UID file name was written in wrong case. Anyway, do I have
to install patch DCROSF162 before applying 307a or 308?
|
1393.6 | Install DCROSF162 before | ALEXWS::IGOR | Igor Skapinker, NSI | Mon Oct 07 1996 01:54 | 10 |
| The patches (like 307a or 308) provides the fixes in executable images
and UID files.
DCROSF162 also provides updated libconsole.a library, manual pages, etc.
Therefore, it would be better to install the DCROSF162 before
installation of the patch.

Igor, PCM Engineering
