Hi,
I need some information about the way used by PCM to create LTA ports.
One customer is using an VS4000-60 running OpenVMS V6.1, PCM V1.6-110.
His LTA ports are created NOEIGHTBIT and he's got a lot of problem with any
� characters (in console connect commands or french messages in evenlists or
french welcome messages).
Now I tried to test here on my system :
VS3100 running OpenVMS V6.1, PCM V1.6-304, and, my LTA term are systematically
created EIGHTBIT so all is OK.
Our sysgen parameters TTY_DEFCHAR (180012A0) and TTY_DEFCHAR2 (00021002) are
identical.
So I don't understand.
Is there a way to "ask" PCM a terminal characteristic (logical, startup file ?).

| Your customer needs to install ECO 2 at least. Eightbit is set by PCM
by default unless the logical name
CONSOLE$NOEIGHTBIT
is defined.
