1332.0. "Kit and docs location?" by ROM01::FRISINA () Mon Jul 01 1996 03:29

    I can't access the kit and documentation directories on node CSC32.

    I have tried using CSC32::PCM$KITS and CSC32::PCM$DOCS, and, as the
    result was a "-RMS-F-DEV, error in device name or inappropriate device
    type for operation" error, then I have tried with CSC32::PCMDISK:[PCM...],
    but still it didn't work.

    Does anybody know which is the current location (or logical definition)?

    Thanks in advance
    Iolanda

1332.1Should work now...CSC32::D_DONOVANSummaNulla(The High Point of Nothing)Mon Jul 01 1996 09:255
	Try it now... Seems that "PCMDISK" wasn't defined cluster-wide.

Thanks,

Dennis

    And be sure to use the ":" at the end of the logical.

    Dan,

    thanks for the hints.

    Anyway, what about the users' guide mentioned in note 666.7? Do you
    know where could I find a copy?

If, for whatever reason, you cannot assign the logicals cluster wide, would you
please let us know on which system(s) they are defined or to what the logicals
should translate?

Thanks,

Herta

    Oh they are defined clusterwide, we had a major power-failure yesterday
    and things were quite screwed up.

    And one last time, I *am not* the system manager for the CSC32 cluster.
    The people that do manage it were nice enough to let me store the files
    there and host the notes conference.

    And speaking of docs, I looked over the offerings, and didn't find a
    nice, bulky user's guide. Does one exist?

    Thanks!
