1324.0. "Lines drawn/saved on C3/READ_ONLY & C3 EDIT protect" by PHXSS1::ADKINS () Mon Jun 17 1996 16:09

OK, now I found a new one. I don't know if this is a PCM or Motif
    problem.

Here's the config. I have a user who is not enabled to edit c3 (or
anything ele). The batch job throws up a display with C3/READ_ONLY.
The Interactive/Edit button doesn't light, as expected. I show my
customer, "Look I have this secure interface, can't change it".

So, of course, after doing some button pushing and diddling, he finds
    that if:

    1) you move the cursor to a label field, press MB1, drag the mouse and
release, Boom! you get a line.

    2) If you exit from C3, the line is permanent. If you quit, it asks if
you want to save the setings, if you say yes, it's save. If you save
no, the lines go away. The only way to get rid of a saved line is to
enable C3 edit, start C3, set to edit and delete the line using MB3.

    OpenVMS Alpha 6.2, PCM 1.6-ECO2, Motif 1.2-3.

Am I having a Monday or what?

Please excuse the grammar/typos in .0. I'm having intermittent modem
    problems today.

    Jim,
Have you installed ECO 2 on this system yet? I *thought* we had
fixed this in ECO 2. If not then it's ECO 3 which is due out soon.

Yeah, ECO2 is on. That fixed my unregistered-user-editing-the-database
    problem.

If you need a customer beta for ECO3..... :-)
