Just a quickie! PCM V1.6 SPD under "Software Requirements" lists only "DEC TCP/IP Services for OpenVMS" as an option under the "OpenVMS VAX Systems" category. Under the "OpenVMS Alpha Systems" category, both "DEC TCP/IP Services for OpenVMS" and "TGV Multinet" are listed. Further down the SPD, there is a note which seems to suggest that either can be used on any OpenVMS platforms: "The optional products DEC TCP/IP Services for OpenVMS or TGV Multinet are required on OpenVMS platforms in order to make use of the TELNET connection mechanism. Only one of the options is required to provide the TELNET support." This leaves me wondering whether the TGV Multinet option was accidentally or intentionally omitted from the SPD for OpenVMS VAX Systems. I am not very clear. In a sentence, my question is: Is TGV Multinet supported for PCM V1.6 on OpenVMS VAX platforms? Thanks in advance, Rich

I believe I omitted this info from the "OpenVMS VAX" requirements area in the SPD by mistake. TGV Multinet is supported on all three of the platforms (or two depending on the way you look at it) that PCM V1.6 supports, and these are OpenVMS VAX, OpenVMS Alpha and Digital UNIX Alpha. |
