1127.0. "How many consoles displayed/connected at maximum?" by 47119::SYSTEM () Fri Dec 15 1995 07:17

    Hello,

    some trouble using PCM 1.6-110 when connecting and displaing more than two
    consoles from C3.

    The story:

    VAX station 4000-60 OVMS 6.1 PCM 1.6-110 PSW 2.2-03 OSCint 2.1

    Fours console monitored: CLuster 2 x VAX 7000-730 OVMS 6.1
    	  		     Cluster 2 x VAX 7000-730 OVMS 6.1

    On the VAXstation I started the OSCint and the PCM C3. On the C3
    display I have designed two groups (one for each cluster).

    Then from the icon of one group I connected the two consoles of one
    cluster. I correctly received all the info on the console from the cluster.

    When I tried to connect one of the console of the other cluster, all the
    stuff related to the PCM product disappear without any message. It
    remains only the OSCint window manager.

    The customer wants to have displayed/connected all the four consoles
    and I am wondering to understand what is happened.

    There is anybody who can help me?

    Thanks in advance.

    You more than likely exhausted a process quota. Set the following in
    the UAF record for the account running the C3:

    BYTLM = 150000
    PGFLQUOTA = 100000
    PRCLM = however many windows you expect to the need.

    If you expect to have a need for more than 12 windows your going to
    need to further increase the BYTLM and PGFLQUOTA.

    Thanks Dan.

    You confirm what I suspected but the customer did not believe. Thanks
    for the suggestions about the quota values.

    I get the occasion to wish to all of you Merry Cristhmas.
