1116.0. "Archive is not performed." by 51214::JONASSON (Tommy Jonasson TSC @OTS Sweden) Mon Dec 04 1995 08:00

Hallo World !

OpenVMS 6.2/ALPHA PCM 1.6-111.

After one archive the Console Ctrl 01 Proccess dies and you have to restart PCM
to get it to work again.

If he try to RECONFIGURE the system, or try to do another archive
from C3 he got a message :-

> Polycenter Console Manager is already archive a system.
> Archive is not performed.

There is no achive process.

Can't reproduce the problem for the moment.
I've tried on VAX but it works just fine.

I am supporting Windows NT this days so i have not an ALPHA with VMS 6.2 to try
this out.
Maby somebody else have this configuration. It take some time for me to
reinstall vms and pcm on my Alphastation.

regards,
Tommy

The real problem is that the controller died. This left stale data in
the statistics global section. The only way to clear it up is to either
reboot the system or shutdown PCM and make sure all C3's and all
MONITOR/CONNECT sessions are terminated. The restart PCM.

Have rebooted several times.

I'll think that it could be the decserver port.
Customer checking that out.
