1095.0. "Problems console archive/dir=dirname" by 50305::KASER (get stoned - drink wet cement !!!) Tue Nov 14 1995 07:42

Hi,

customer of mine observed the following behaviour ( and me to ! )

$ cons archive/before=25-oct-1995/directory=console$archive nodename

saves all the archive-file at the current directory, even if

$ sho log console$archive
   "CONSOLE$ARCHIVE" = "DISK$USER1:[CONSOLE.ARCHIVE]" (CONSOLE$LOGICAL_NAMES)

is defined.

the same command works as exepcted if ( i.e. saving the files in
console$archive )

$ cons archive/before=25-oct-1995 nodename

am i missing something or is this expected ?

    Okay, so what happens if you specify an actual directory path and not
    the console$archive logical?

    Hi Dan,

    it works if you specify the actual path.

    so there's something wrong with the translation !

    Minor buglet then. Since console$archive is the default path if no
    dir is specified there is no need to spcify it in the first place.
