1079.0. "VCS$IODL process terminated with LIB-F-INSVIRMEM error" by 23111::WILLIAMCHAN () Fri Nov 03 1995 03:14
Hello,
The following error was happened in my customer:
VCS$IODL process terminated with LIB-F-INSVIRMEM error
System configuration: VAXstation 4000-90
VMS V5.5-2H4
VCS V1.4
This node is the slave node in a dual host VCS configuration.
SYS$MANAGER:VCS$IODL_OUTPUT.LOG:
$SET VERIFY
$SET MESSAGE /FACILITY /IDENTIFICATION /SEVERITY /TEXT
$SET DEF SYS$MANAGER
$SET PROCESS/DUMP
$VCS START LOGGER /CONSOLE
% LIB-F-INSVIRMEM, insufficient virtual memory
SYSTEM job terminated at ...........
Since the parameter value is set by startup file, therefore
user should not be get involved to modify it. On the other
host (with exactly same hardware and software), it is okay.
Any idea?
Thanks for any input.
Best regards,
William

| Then you are going to have to edit the file to increase the value. It's
really no big deal just go ahead and do it.
