1065.0. "PCM 1.6, UNIX, archive lock problems" by 12368::"[email protected]" (claus vestergaard) Fri Oct 27 1995 06:39
Hi,
I have a customer running pcm 1.6 on digital unix v3.2c.
He upgraded to 1.6, and are now having problems after archiving on some of the
nodes.
If the console log, for a specific node, is empty, pcm leaves a file :
/tmp/Exclusive_Access_node.lk
When that file exists it is impossible to use pcm (hangs).
If you remove the file everything seems to be working again.
If the console log consists of some bytes, this file seems to be removed automaticaly,
and everything seems ok.
Is this an error in pcm ? - Patch ?
Any comments, suggestions or solutions will be very welcome.
Claus

| Well, there is an ECO to 1.6 - I couldn't find the docs
to see if this was a definate fix but I'm sure there's
something on archiving and you won't get much work
done on it until it's applied so I'd go for applying the
patch if you can.
