1021.0. "scan profiles for dec 2100 and dec 2300?" by 42326::NICHOLSONA () Wed Oct 04 1995 06:53

    Hi,

    This question has been asked before, but did not get a satisfactory
    answer.

    A customer of mine is after scan profiles for a dec 2100 and dec
    2000/300 now in the CONSOLE016.B for alpha I can see
    [V1_6.SAVESET_B]DEC_2000.XBM;1 is this the file required? It is just
    that in note 546 it points to a general directory where scan profiles
    are , and they have a .port ending.

    Thanks
    Avril

    The DEC_2000.XBM file is an X bitmap file and is used for the system
    icon in the C3. The '.port' ending means that it is an ascii file
    which may be 'Imported' into the PCM database. You use the editor to
    do this. Just give this file to your customer and tell them to use
    the editor to import this file and then do a reconfigure and they will
    be off and running.

    Avril,
      If the engr groups would provide us with the necessary data to
    create them we would. This is what Doreen has been trying to do. You'd
    think that since we are all one company it would be no big deal to
    obtain a file with some console messages in it.

1021.6Where are the engineering group?42326::NICHOLSONAI see no biscuits?Sun Oct 15 1995 06:1511

    Hi,

    Maybe the problem is related to the fact that the engineering group in
    DECPark is no longer with us and now PCM is going to become part of
    Polycenter Event Manager so I have heard. I will try and get in contact
    with them and let you know if I get any joy.

    Thanks
    Avril

    Doreen has been working this issue long before engineering changed
    hands and has made little progress but good luck just the same.

1021.8or it could just be a waste of time?42441::HAWLEYIHere's 10p. Phone a man who cares!Fri Oct 20 1995 13:2910
Dan,

Just a thought, as ive just spoken with Avril about this.

Do you think this could be worth an IPMT?
It might help Doreen to get the leverage she needs to get engineering to supply
the info.

    Ian,
      The scan profile issue has been IPMT'd (and CLD'd too which gives you
    an idea of just how long this has gone on).
