1012.0. "Ackn. event on ML-window hangs VXT." by 54687::WIJKAMP (One day, you won't drink beer, you'll drink GROLSCH) Thu Sep 28 1995 11:51
Hello,
Customer reports the following:
He uses a multiline window as the result of a filter
on his PCM V1.6 VAX system (V6.1).
This ML-window is displayed on the PCM station itself, and on
his VXT (V2.1F).
Now when he selects "acknowledge event" from this ML-window,
his whole VXT wil hang totally. Even the mouse freezes.
The only thing he can do is reboot his VXT.
Strange thing is that it only happens on a ML-window that is
the result of an Filter-action, and not on the 'normal'
ML-window, that comes with the C3.
He can easily reproduce this.
When he tries this on the ML-window on the PCM station, this
gives no problem.
Any-body seen this, any advise ect,
Thanks in advance for your help/answers/assistence,
Greetings,
Ren Wijkamp,
MCS, OSS The Netherlands.

| It's very strange that it works one way and not the other. Are both
the transports the same? (i.e DECNET, LAT, ot TCPIP). That's the
only thing I can think of that could be different.

| What is the VXT config (memory) ? Are you using VXTEX, or a host based
window manager ?
A customer of ours had a similar problem with a memory retrained VXT...
