1009.0. "PCM V1.6 (UNIX) & pagers (beepers)" by 11770::REICH () Wed Sep 27 1995 15:04

We have just installed PCM V1.6 (UNIX) at a customer site. This
customer now wants PCM events to trigger an action that generates
phone calls to pagers. The result would be a short text message
on an alpha-numeric pager. Any help would be appreciated, e.g.

* approaches that you have been taken
* action routines already written (for UNIX)
* recommendations regarding a UNIX paging communications product

The customer has expressed an interest in a product called
TelAlert (from Telamon). Telamon claims to run on Digital UNIX and
so the customer may initiate a loan of product to get things moving.
All other notes that turn up on this subject seem specific to DECTalk
on OVMS and a product called PAGER (which appears to be OVMS only).
