hi,
We have problem with archiving. Only when arciving one of the
43 systems we have the following problem:
$ CONSOLE ARCHIVE ZT0001 /BEFORE=26-AUG-1995
POLYCENTER Console Manager
Archive facility Version V1.6-110

and this goes on for serveral hours untill you stop it

The archiver must send as message to the line controller for the node
your archiving to make sure thatr no one is connected and the archive
can proceed. The line controller is not responding to this message.
This indicates that it's not reading it's control mailbox. We'd have
to access the system when it's broke to see whats going on. The best
you can do is restart PCM.

hi Dan,
The customer told me there are no open lines at the moment of running
the archive procedure.
But we have some extra information at this moment.
We only get this problem when we use the command
$ console archive /before= <date> and the date is less than 6 dags ago
If we archive only files older than 6 days it seems to work OK.

No news, but the archiving problem is on the top of the list for the
support team to fix.
