942.0. "CM is already archiving a system" by 50242::MUELLER () Mon Aug 28 1995 05:31
Hallo,
I'm running CM V1.6 + ECO and I archive the logfiles each day with
a scheduler job using the following command:
console archive/before=today/noconfirm all
Now and than, no archive is performed and I get the message
POLYCENTER Console Manager is already archiving a system.
Archive not performed.
But looking in the previous logfile, the archive had been running fine.
Now, I tried to shutdown and restart CM, but I still get the "already
archiving" message.
Is this still something "known" under CM V1.6-110? Do I have to reboot
the system or is there any other possible way to get rid of this
problem?
Thanks for help,
- Sabine

| We have seen this before. REbooting will clear it up but if you get
everyone out of all PCM interface and then shutdown and restart the
software, it should clear it up as well.

| We have seen this before.
Has this problem now been addressed by an ECO ?
I currently have a customer seeing this exact problem where
they get 'console manager already archiving system' even though it is
not and even shutting down and restarting PCM does not clear it.
Thanks for any update on this.
