A customer with PCM 1.6-100 on Digital UNIX 3.2 got the following error: POLYCENTER Console Manager - Version V1.6-100 - Console Controller Daemon: Child controller (index = 1) abnormally exited, status 139. Any ideas? Is there something like a Troubleshooting Guide? Where do I found informations about error codes and debugging possibilities?? The customer is`nt very happy because he can't get any help from the German Center People: They haven't any experience with PCM nor a PCM installation on UNIX... Thanks for any help Achim

905.1 | Problem still on ECO2 | DARGLE::COUGHLAN | Tue Jun 04 1996 04:02 | 13 | |
I recently visited this same customer who is now at ECO2 but still has the same problem with the first child controller process only. Does status 139 translate to anything relevant ?. I have reduced the number of systems per controller in an attempt to prevent this error. When the CHILD process number 1 disappears, the systems controlled by this process are unusable, howver all other systems on different controllers work as normal. Any help appreciated. Dave. |
