    If I try to shutdown and restart PCm from the C3 interface, ENS never
    starts up and in the daemon.log file I get:
    
    Console Controller Daemon: Unable to create Shared Memory section.
    
    
    This is consistant.
    Ugly, but consistant.

	We saw this same problem. Unfortunately ECO1 simply makes it intermittant rather than consistant - it still happens much of the time. Any further clues ?? Jo.

	Hi, This one seems to have gone ballistic! We gave the customer ECO1 to fix a consistent problem suffered when shutting down and restarting 1.6 on Digital Unix (3.2c) on an Alphaserver 1000. This has made it intermittent but they are still less than impressed. Ive obtained a logfile of the problem which appears below. My question is, does anyone know if this has been addressed in ECO2? Also, could it be something to do with the SHUTDOWN thats causing the startup problems? 	Update to this: We have worked out a workaround where we do an 'ipcrm' on the shared memory sections and it allows us to restart PCM without having to reboot the server. We are still going to IPMT this. The system is now at ECO2. Ian.
