One problem is to have adeguate scan and icon file. How can I do to build new icons on AXP/OSF system? ..., ideas, scan profiles, icons, tools, suggest ...? Thanks in advance for any helps! Ciao. Paolo

Paolo, drawing Icons is easy. There are two ways you can do this. 1) Use the ARTLIB as this has icons for most commercially available systems. These are in EPSF format, so display them, and then do a screen save into a DDIF file. The, using DECwindows Paint, edit the DDIF, and save it as an XBM file in the console manager user icons directory 2) Use DECwindows Paint to draw the icon, and save it in the user icon area. As for scan profiles - that's difficult. All you can do is pray someone has already done it. If not, then you must read the logs and produce one yourself. Shaun |
