839.0. "Buttons missing on VXT..." by ULYSSE::STRATMAN (Peter Stratman @VBO) Fri Jun 23 1995 09:27

Using V1.5 from an Alphaserver 1000 displaying to a VXT, my customer
does not get any maximize/minimize button (top right buttons) on
the event history window obtained when clicking on a node in the C3.

Is this a known problem ? Solved in 1.6 ?

    Thanks,
    Peter.

Peter,

The problem certainly doesnt appear with V1.6 displaying to a
workstation. The code hasnt changed for V1.6, so I would expect
the same behaviour with V1.5. Is this a peculiarity of the VXT?

Cheers,
Phil

Yes, it only happens on the VXT. On the Alpha 1000 the buttons appear
correctly.

Any resource file I can look at ? Other ideas ?

Thanks,
Peter.

I just tried a display to a VAXstation. Same problem.

Anyway, on the AlphaServer 1000 the buttons are displayed, but only
the maximize button works. The minimize button does nothing...

Hmmm,

Peter, we dont do anything specifically with these buttons when
we create the history window, I suspect that the various window
managers involved here are messing us around (after all these
buttons are part of the window manager decorations), but exactly
what you need to do to fix it I dont know.

Cheers,
Phil
