    note 57 has details of differences between v1.0 & vcs 1.4   With V1.5
    are those differences gone ?

Dave,

  With 1.5 some differences remained. With V1.6 we got rid of them all
  with the exception of being able to launch C3 displays automatically
  at startup. There are specific security issues which made us not
  implement this "feature".

    I agree with the decision not to implement this but we've had a lot of
    whining about it so I wrote the procedures to bring up a C3 at boot
    *on the PCM engines local display only*. I will post them in their
    own message.
