My customer is currently using a single AlphaServer 1000 as a PCM host to monitor about 50 devices (concurrent licenses). He wishes to add a 2nd AlphaServer and form a SCSI Cluster in order to eliminate a single system point of failure. Can the 50 concurrent PCM licenses be shared in a common LMF file in this senario, so that if one system goes down, the other can monitor all devices ?? Are there any other issues to be concerned about when moving to a cluster? Thx, Dave Rifkin

Dave, There is no problem with this setup, however, make sure that PCM isnt started on both systems at the same time, they will both attempt to manage all the systems and grab licences!! Cheers, Phil |
