832.0. "PCM 1.5 or 1.6 alphaserver and 400-4/166 ctrl_p" by SWTHOM::LEREUIL () Tue Jun 20 1995 17:25

	Hi

My custommer he's running on vax 4500a and 4700a with PCM 1.5
he would like to use with PCM 1.5 on alphaserver 1000 and alpha
	400 4/166 it's possible or not ?
and does PCM 1.6 support the AlphaStation 400 4/166 or ALPHASERVER 1000
	and 2000 with OPENVMS 6.1-1H2 ?

I have tested by these multiples command ie:

	console connect node/break=ctrl_p without success
and /break=ctrl_a or f5 ,I will not halt the alphaserver and the
	400 4/166.

thank in advance for your quick help

Yes it is possible to use these systems as PCM hosts, as for
clients (managed systems) I cant really say until someone tries
them, different Alpha systems behave in different ways with regards
  to things like halting them!

>>and does PCM 1.6 support the AlphaStation 400 4/166 or ALPHASERVER 1000

  Same answer as above.

There were some problems with the control keys that were fixed in the MUP,
please install it and try again.

    >break key

Believe it or not the 400 4/166 uses ctrl-p to halt and not break.
