805.0. "CONSOLE$ENS_DAEMON.EXE accvio" by KERNEL::TITCOMBER () Tue Jun 13 1995 11:23

    Help!

A customer has recently installed PCM 1.5 on a VAX 3180 running OpenVMS
6.1 He has also applied the CONSOLEECO1015 patch, which he obtained
    via DSNlink.

The PCM ENS DAEMON is crashing occasionally with an ACCVIO

They are experiencing these PCM process crashes about 10 - 20 times a
day, and this is obviously irritating them.

Included below is the output file from the process.

Has anybody seen this problem before, or have any ideas of a fix?

Hi,
   two options:

1) Apply the CONSOLE015A MUP ( a short term measure).

2) Next week put up the PCM V1.6 kit ( it should be the SSB kit by
then) and give it to the customer.

The V1.6 kit fixes many bugs in the V1.5 (and MUP) version.

Cheers Simon...

Kevin,

>> So are we saying this is a known issue ???

No, what we are saying is that the customer has not installed
the MUP in order to get the Mandatory fixes, some of which related
to problems like the one your customer is seeing.

The better option would be for your customer to install the V1.6 kit
when we announce it sometime within the next week.

Cheers,
Phil

Kevin,

I think Dave meant note 2.last, the keyword KIT will also point you
  at the right place.

Cheers,
Phil
