all, I just started to learn about PCM and have to give a demo this week I have running Digital UNIx 3.2 and installed PCM 1.5 from the latest layered product CD and i can not get very far : #console -C3 is ok, i defined the systems via the editor and with the 'startup' option I get a system crash, the message are very much the same as in note 789 Is this a release problem or am i doing something wrong. Also another system where PCM was working file under 3.0, after an upgrade to 3.2 the same problem (when the PCM deamon is started) occurs !!!!! Regina Buggenhout

Hi,
this sounds like the OSF/1 V3.2 bug seen in note 624. Read that
note thread as it contains the answer ( a patch to OSF/1).
I suggest you get the FT V1.6 kit rather than play with V1.5 as
MANY bugs are fixed. The kit is near SSB status and should be
reliable. It is being put up on the net later today for people to
try.
