771.0. "PCM T1.6-009; archive --> accviol Contr.Process" by HLSM04::GERRIT (Gerrit Woertman, UTO, 838-2535) Wed May 31 1995 15:13
Hi,
When I did an archive running PCM T1.6-009 on OpenVMS AXP V6.1,
I got an access violation in a controller process, because the file
was currently locked by another user.
The archive command was:
$ console archive all/bef="15-apr-1995"/noconfirm
regards,
Gerrit

| Gerrit,
what was running when the archive kicked off?? Was there a
C3 running which opened an Event history window as we did not get
the archive synch code into the last kit for the C3.
Cheers Simon...

771.2 | no C3 | HLSM04::GERRIT | Gerrit Woertman, UTO, 838-2535 | Wed May 31 1995 23:14 | 26 |
| Simon,
there was no C3 active, it was 07:46 local time.
I have checked accounting: all subprocesses of the batchjob were fine
during one hour, until there was: error copy, etc.
I have checked DECps, image accounting.
The only interactively invoked image was: cons stat, activated by me.
$cons stat/cont showed:
<07:46 07:46 07:48
Event sources: 10 9 9
Archive HLIS04 - HLIS06
It is however possible that there was an open Event history window of
the day before, because a collegue was looking at the circumstances
of a crash last night. Tomorrow I'll check with this collegue or have
a look in DECps.
regards,
Gerrit
