769.0. "PCM T1.6-009 deletes configurationfile?" by HLSM04::GERRIT (Gerrit Woertman, UTO, 838-2535) Tue May 30 1995 18:06

Hi,

I have just installed PCM T1.6-009.
The logfile is at the end of this note.

Right now I have got two observations:

    - the remark about defmbxbufquo is better, but do I as systemmanager
want to lower, in my case, a system parameter?

    - more important is that my console$data:console_cfg.dat was deleted!
And it was there, because I was running PCM, and the backuplisting
of the backup I have made just before the installation says:
    [CONSOLE.DATA]CONSOLE_CFG.DAT;4 209 25-MAY-1995 10:50

    regards,

    Gerrit

    Hi,

the problem with deleting the configurationfile is not that it is
deleted during the installation, but the real problem is that
an import of the previous exported configuration fails.
So I ended up with really no database.
Yes, I can do a manual copy of the previous database, but I don't think
that is the intention of an installation, that I do all kinds of
    work myself.

    regards,

    Gerrit
