CW,

1) attempting to access a HSZ40 console, two console controllers had an "access
violation"
2) shutdown / startup PCM
3) 20/54 console lines unreachable after startup - %SYSTEM-F-ABORT, abort (open
failure)
4) these 20 console lines are "spread" across 9 DECservers
5) console reconfig did not repair these lines
6) retried shutdown/startup PCM - same result
7) rebooted system - all ok
8) repeat 1 - no problem

  Sorry for the delay in responding to this note, it slipped through
  somehow.

  We have done a lot of work since the -003 kit, please ask your
  customer to inmstall the latest -009 kit and see if it makes
  things better.
