With PCM T1.6-001 (version 5-may-1995) running on Alpha OpenVMS V6.1,
as well as running on VAX OpenVMS V6.1, I have experienced last night
the following situation:
Console Connect HLFS01
ctrl/N that generates a break
and then: no echo
You can still enter commands, like: B(oot)
I see the >>>-prompt only, after restarting PCM or failing over to the
other PCM-station.
This situation occurred first on the Alpha-PCM station trying to
reboot a VAX7000, and after failing over to the VAX-PCM station
the same occurred trying to reboot a VAX3400.
