704.2 | Import was not correct. | UTRTSC::DORLAND | There's always one more bug! | Mon May 01 1995 15:32 | 6 |

Oops. I just dicovered that my database was not correctly
imported during the upgrade. I did that manually and (
because I had all priv's within PCM) can now shut/start PCM.

| Ton,
Have you any idea why your database wasnt correctly imported? This
sounds like it may be a problem with the install and we should get
it fixed.
Cheers,
Phil

704.4 | A small mys(t)ery | UTRTSC::DORLAND | There's always one more bug! | Tue May 02 1995 14:05 | 9 |
| I have no idea. On my CONSOLE$DATA directory I find
CONSOLE_CFG_PRE_UPGRADE and CONSOLE_CFG.DAT
created just within a few minites. Also my old database
was correctly exported. Unfortunately, this is not something
which I can reproduce easily.

704.5 | Problem reproduced... | UTRTSC::DORLAND | There's always one more bug! | Mon May 08 1995 10:28 | 14 |
| I just re-installed T1.6 (5 may). I did get the same problem.
I started with restoring my old CONSOLE root with the 1.5 files.
This did have an CONSOLE_CFG.DAT on CONSOLE$DATA.
During the installation PCM told me it was exporting the
old database (this went on correctly) shortly followed by
%DELETE-W-SEARCHFAIL, error deleting CONSOLE$ROOT:[DATA]
CONSOLE_CFG.DAT
AFter the installation completed there was no CONSOLE_CFG.DAT
on CONSOLE$DATA (but of course I saved my previous one).
