697.0. "how to clear red icon" by CSC32::PITT () Fri Apr 28 1995 06:09

    customer is running 1.5a PCM.
He states that even after he has cleared out the appropriate events,
    the icon stays RED (critical).

    Is this a known issue?

    thanks

I assume that you mean the C3. If so, no, this isnt a known problem,
however, the C3 has been rewritten for V1.6, get your customer to try
it when I announce the kit later today.

He's actually talking about when you bring up the C3 interface, then
iconize it, and that icon goes red because of a critical even, once he
clears the event that icon stays red. (ie, bring up c3 interface,
click on the 'dot' in the top right corner to put the window away..)
I must admit, I've never see that icon change color no matter what
happened under pcm.......so I'm at a loss as to how to clear it...
Do you know if 1.6 will address this?

    thanks again.

    Cathy,
Did he dismiss the events *for all* nodes i.e., go through all nodes
and dismiss? The C3 icon will change color of course if any node
receives an event. If the customer did indeed do this I'd say we have a
    "buglet".
