    My customer is running PCM on a Alpha Workstation , and is interested 
    in using an existing VAX/VMS system as a hot backup.  Note 318 seems to
    imply that a common PCM Database in not supported between a Vax and 
    Alpha system.  Is this still true??

Yes, this is still true, although you can export the database from one
PCM system and import it on another.
