685.0. "eventlist filter option" by CX3PST::ANASAZ::J_BECKER (There's no substitute for a good boot) Thu Apr 20 1995 22:18

On the event list created by the C3, you can select options/filter item and it brings up
a window. I cant find anywhere in the docs that describe this function. Can you give me
a pointer? I assume it can filter events/nodes from placing information in the main
window, however cant see all the events, only the ones that we have seen and when I place
them in the unselected side of the window, they still trigger, so I must not have the
right idea what this filter is for. Can you help?

    Yes, the pointer value is NULL ;-}

    You have the right idea. Yes, the events must appear first because
    eventlist doesn't read the PCM database so it can't know
    what to display and what not to display until you tell it
    to. Note also that you must do an Apply or Okay before
    it'll take your settings. When you save it away it will create
    a file in your default login dir called CONSOLE$EVENTLIST.EXCLUDE
    that will be read whenever you run it interactively.
