Constext is : VAX/VMS 6.1, PCM 1.5 + MUPA 1.5
DEC OSCint 2.0 + PSW
Since MUPA is installed, process "Console Deamon" seems most of the time in COM
state. Is it due to new behavour about consistency check on console database ?
Is there a verify made while a console reconf is done ?
For your comprehension, i'm working in a specific environment which allows an
operator to execute a "lookup" for systems started. Each time a system
is discovered, PCM scans are dynamically added to the system scan and a PCM
reconfiguration is done to take into accounts the new configuration.
That is to say, with a lot of systems, there are many "console reconf" done in a
small time.
Before MUPA, it worked (and before PCM, with VCS, also) !

| Yes,
with V1.5 MUPA we added a check by each process of the database!! It was
a stopgap measure as we had many customer problems related to invalid databases.
The upcoming V1.6 gets rid of the need for this as we have added a flag to the
database which marks the state of the database. Each process just checks the
flag in V1.6 and takes the appropriate action. So you will not have the problem
in V1.6.
