644.0. "ACCVIO again in EXTRACT after ARCHIVING" by UTRTSC::DORLAND (There's always one more bug!) Wed Mar 08 1995 10:54

    	Hello,

    	again I have to report an ACCVIO in EXTRACT. This
    	was reported to me by a customer. I was able to reproduce
    	it the same way as the customer did.

    	1) Do a CONSOLE ARCHIVE (until yesterday).
    	This leaves you with some small new log files for that
    	node.

    	2) Now do a CONSOLE EXTRACT/SINCE=TODAY (this will
    	   not use the ARCHIVEd DATA)

    	This results in the ACCVIO :
        %SYSTEM-F-ACCVIO, access violation, reason mask=01, virtual
        address=00355A00, PC=00071CAC, PSL=0BC00004

        Improperly handled condition, image exit forced.

                                             00000001
                                             00000001
                                             00322790
                                             00000001

    	I can reproduce this with several nodes.
    	Extract is version 1.5-007, Archive is 1.5-006.
        If needed I have
    	the logfiles available on UTRTSC::DUMPS:[DORLAND]UTRACK.*

    	My (wild) guess is that ARCHIVE somehow screws up
    	the log-files.

    	Any suggestions?

    	Regards, Ton

Ton,
    is it the same customer for whom you have the IPMT open? If so please update
the IPMT and if not rasie a new one for us.

Cheers Simon...
644.2I'll raise a new IPMT...UTRTSC::DORLANDThere's always one more bug!Thu Mar 09 1995 11:045
    This is not one of the CLD which is currently open.
    We had this problem some time ago but could not reproduce
    it. However I will open a new IPMT case for it.

    Regards, Ton
