598.0. "LAT Eventlist to remote VT1200+ ACCVIO's" by GIDDAY::BROOKS () Mon Feb 06 1995 03:06

    	In regard to VXT2000+, it appears that VXT2000 color terminals are
    supported with PCM V1.5 as a remote display device. I have read notes
    105.5, 269.1 and some restrictions there. But I'm having a problem with
    a customer who getting ACCVIO's on the EVENTLIST which is causing error
    on the C3 display.

    	The only things I can see which could be cause problems is that the
    VXT2000+ is running VAX loaded VXT EX V2.1 cut down version of VXT V2.1
    software. This version does not allow for customization on the VXT
    which only has 4mb of memory. He does not have any other terminals
    he could remote window to check if PCM is working OK.

    	I have got output from the CONSOLE$DEBUG and will post the output
    in the next reply. The output does mention error about
    %SYSTEM-F-TIMEOUT. Which the customer said are due to the fact that they
    have configured systems which are not LAT connected yet.

    some questions;

    Are the VXT2000+ with VXT EX + 4MB supported with PCM??

    I have heard that VXT EX software is not supported at all?

    If the customer uses the VXT V2.1 full software will it work with
    4mb of memory?

    Regards,
    Nigel

598.1DEBUG output from C3 / EVENTLISTGIDDAY::BROOKSMon Feb 06 1995 03:13293
When doing a CONSOLE C3 to a remote VXT2000+ a ACCVIO will be displayed on
the DECTERM who executed the command, But the C3 will appear but generate errors
on the original DECTERM and the EVENTLIST window will never appear.

The following are extract from the remote windowing commands;

    I have the customer going to the supported VXT 2000+ with 10mb of

    it appears that the VXT EX is not supported in anyway

Hi,

  Could you have your customer try the image...

    OPG::CM$KIT:CONSOLE$EVENTLIST.EXE_LAT_FIX

  Please let us know if this fixes your problem.

Cheers,

Phil,

	A very late reply, I though I had replied many moons ago but
when reviewing the notes conference. I did not post a reply.

	The customer moved to the Supported version of VXT software
and memory before I read your reply, so I never go to test this fix.

Thanks for your support,
Regards Niguel

Hi,

  Never mind, the fix went into V1.6 anyway, so your customer
  should upgrade and ensure that it is fixed, raise an IPMT
  if things are not right.

Cheers,
Phil
