| Geert,
The documentation has an example which performs a broadcast of an event to
a terminal, the customer could modify that to send the message to PSW
instead. I think the code for this example gets installed with the product
(take a look in CONSOLE$EXAMPLES:)
Which third party product does almost the same as PCM, I would be very
grateful for any details you may have.
Cheers,
Phil

| Geert,
Also, if the customer has a software support contract, there is no
cost to upgrade to PCM.

| Geert,
my next question is why are they doing it that way? There are valid
reasons for doing it, sometimes, but usualy it is better to get PSW
into PCM - better event notification capabilities for one - and we have
OSCint to integrate plus other functionality (automatic repair).

Hi Martin,
A lot of operators have a VT terminal and he likes PSW very much.
A few Digital Consultants tried already to convince the customer, but...
I thought you had spoken this customer at DECUS in Cannes !
Rgds,

| Geert,
If you mean Cannes 1994, wasn't there - so wasn't me!
Who is it?
maybe some of the real benefits of PCM should be pointed out -
like the ability to aknowledge an event so that everyone can see who is
working on it, and then to clear it so they can see who did that.
Still, there are some ludites around.
