584.0. "System STATE bits - meaning?" by POLAR::HUTCH (Mike Hutchings, OMS Eastern Canada, Kanata) Fri Jan 27 1995 16:49

When you do a CONSOLE STATUS/ALL you see this...

------SYSTEM------ ---PID--- STATE -BYTES- -LINES- EVENTS ------USER------
1 HSC000 00001F33 LYE 0 0 0
2 HSC001 00001F33 LYE 0 0 0
.
.

I could not find anything documented as to what the STATE bits signify.

I presumed L meant logging but after disabling logging on one particular
console the L state was still present, I'm no longer sure anymore.

Is there a list of all the various states. I know there are more than just
 these 3

Mike,

If you go into continuous mode then ask for help, all should be revealed.

Cheers,
