When a customer started more that 7 C3 processes, the console notifier and daemon failed with SYSTEM-F-EXQUOTA, Process Quota Exceeded. SHOW PROC/QUOTA on both processes saw an alarming decrease in Buffered I/O byte count quota, this quota was soon exhausted therefore causing the error. To get 12 C3 windows up I modified the console startup procedure and upped the bufflim to 650000 on the daemon process and 950000 on the notifier. Is this a known feature ? Regards, Simon Briggs UK CSC.

Simon, Yes, we did some work on quotas for the MUP kit, obviously for your customer the values we increased them to were not sufficient, thanks for giving us these higher values, I will put these changes into the startup procedure ready for the next patch kit. Cheers, Phil |
