Are you saying can it be a PCM host or a managed system?
If a PCM host. I can see no reason why not, although we have not the facilities
to have tested this.
As to being a manages system. The only thing I can say is that if the console
can be redirected to a serial port with no ill effects it can be managed. The
only known caveat is that OSF/1 will not halt from a break/ctrl P, but that is
the same for any OSF system.

I can see no reason why not as we do our I/O via normal fwrite() to the
filesystem so we don't need any special facilities and LSM should be well below
us. Needless to say not ever been tried.
Hope that helps.

Looking to use it as a management station. Only reason I ask is that the new
AlphaStations require some special hardware release of OSF/1 (I think it's
something like 3.0-H4), and wanted to make sure there are no compatability
issues. Also, since the AlphaStations are not yet listed in the PCM SPD, it
never hurts to ask. This customer has been severly burned recently with OSF
release and hardware issues, so we don't want to do it to them again.
Thanks
