Hi, A customer uses info from console extract to create mails for users. They went from VCS to Polycenter Console Manager. Since then an extract to an output file gives unpredictable results. Sometimes an ACCVIO is the result, sometimes it seems to work ok, and the next time only part of the information apears in the logfile (abruptly stops in the middle of a line). They have CONSOLEECO1015 installed. Thanks for any clues Dik Docter

Dik, We fixed several problems with extract since the ECO kit, have your customer install the recently announced MUP kit, when this is installed, we would be very interested in any acvvio's the customer gets. Your customer does realize that extract goes straight to the log files for the data and if the daemon hasnt flushed the log data from its internal buffers it will not be available to the extract utility. With the MUP installed, executing extract a second time should give cause the daemon to have flushed its data. we intend to change this behaviour for V2.0 so that the data is immediately available to the extract utility. Cheers, Phil |
