515.0. "Padlock icon not go away" by OPCO::TSG_SJM (Coming live to you from Rosebery) Mon Dec 12 1994 03:34

We had an instance today where someone connected to a system, and when
they disconnected, the padlock icon stayed on top of the previously
    locked system.

You could still reconnect to the system afterwards, but the icon
wouldn't go away. In the end we just moved the icon to an used section
    of the screen.

When connecting the system after moving the icon, a new icon is created
over the connected system, and does disappear after you disconnect. I
guess not a major problem, just an inconvenience.

Steve,

Not sure what the problem is. It could be that the
'Disconnect' event was not delivered or a bug in the C3
code. The next time this happens, try the 'Unlock'
command on the system popup menu. It hopefully will
remove the padlock icon.

515.2will not help...VELI::KORKKOVeli Krkk, FNO/OMS Delivery, DTN 879-5512Mon Dec 12 1994 21:134
seen this too. Unlock did not help! With so many other things in
mind, did not just manage to report it...

    Seen again

I am displaying C3 on my station having set displ/cre/node= on the VAX
that PCM is running on. I connect to the console of a node using MB3
and selecting the connect option, yet when I ^E to exit the connection
the padlock remains. Otherwise it is as if I had disconnected properly:
others can connect, that console is not locked, and noone is shown as
    locking it...

    Tony,

Did you manually try the 'unlock' option on the popup menu? It
should delete the icon even if there is no-one connected.

Yes we are seeing this too. The padlocks stay there weather you
unlock from the icon or not. Even if you shutdown & startup PCM
    they still stay locked .

515.6Problem is still thereLOCH::SOJDAThu Apr 27 1995 20:307
Any more word on what is causing this and if it will be fixed in V1.6?

I am seeing it too and doing an explicit unlock does not fix the
    problem.

Larry,

I will be announcing the V1.6 kit tomorrow, try it, if the problem is still
there, we can do something about it.

Cheers,
Phil
