Hello I believed my customer has observed the phenomenom reported in note #422. The problem being PCM running extremely slow, observing the system found that the "CONSOLE CTRL 01" process was in a tight loop. The process did not die when PCM was shut down, and had to be stopped ID'd. Upon restarting PCM, It still did not work, as there were 2 LTA's trying to point to the same console port for several of the connected devices. Upon deleting the second LTA's it started to work again. In #422 it mentions a "fixed image" would it be possible to give this to my customer, or is the ECO2 iminent. Steve CLiffe

Steve, If this is on OpenVMS VAX, then ask your customer to try the new image in OPG::CM$KIT: its called CONSOLE$DAEMON.EXE_VAX. Your customer should delete their log files before starting this new image. Please let me know ASAP if this fixes your customers problem as we need to know before we put the MUP kit out. Cheers, Phil |
