489.0. "Use of X.25 PADS for console manager ?" by KETJE::VANDENBERG_R () Thu Nov 24 1994 11:23

	Hi,

	We have a customer running a private X.25 network and wnat to use PCM to
		controle remotely the VAXes.

	Does someone have experience to use PAD (Packet Assembler Deassembler)
	to make console connections?

	If the principe is straight forward, I see some issues to do that.

	Taking as example a simple configuration:

	  Terminal<->PAD<->X.25 N/W<->PAD<->VAX console

	1. For what I know a PAD is used to make connection to an application
	running on a host using X25 as transport.
	I have no experience with PAD to PAD connection
	Is this a possible configuration?

	2. Handling of the BREAK or ^P to halt the remote system
	PAD are configured using X.3 parameters
	One of them is the handling of the Break.
	A break on the terminal will generate a X.25 interrupt packet
	Does this packet be translated in a break signal on the other PAD ?

	All inputs are welcome concerning this configuration.

	Best regards,
	Robert
