    I have a VMS 6.1 system with PCM 1.5 and the eco patch installed.
    
    Every Monday morning at 01:00 hours, scheduler kicks off a cpu bound
    job which seems to stop PCM dead in it's tracks. Last week, all the
    messages that should have gone to the multi-line window just did
    not make it. This week the multi-line window just hung.
    
    Restarting PCM cured the problem. I am running PCM on a 3800.
    
    Any suggestions, short of getting a faster vax?

Max,

   Try running DEC PS (Performance Solution) while 
Scheduler is running. It would appear that there is a 
resource problem.

    I have stopped the scheduled job as I do not really need it any more.
    
    It was a VCS housekeeping job.
