484.0. "VCS-PCM Window distortion" by SEDOAS::CLIFFE_S () Fri Nov 18 1994 14:30

    My Customer has installed PCM V1.5 and also installed the
    consoleECO1015 patch, onto a Vaxstation 4000-90 running VMS 6.1 and
    Motif V1.2.

    	If you do a monitor of a system, using either the DCL monitor,
    or use the options within the icon, and then do a connect from
    the command prompt, the window you get is distorted, with the text only
    being displayed on the top line of the display, and all the following
    text is written to the top line. If you then get sufficient lines of
    text generated to fill the window of a monitor session once you drop
    back to the command prompt (using ctrl G), you can then SEL back into the
     window fine. If you only generate say 5 lines of text, once you
    drop back to the monitor (using ctrl g) and SEL back again, you
    are on the 5th line now, with all text overwrapping on the 5th line.

    	This only happens the first time you try to access the particular
    device upon migrating from VCS to PCM. I suspect it's some sort of
    garbage left behind from the VCS on the LTA device, but once cleared
    once on an LTA it seems cleared for good.

    		Am I seeing things or is this common.
