Greetings,

Here's a suggestion from a customer who previously ran VCS.  Can we provide
a C3 display that has node icons that have DISPLAY_ONLY access?  PCM
currently disallows access to systems, however it also removes the icon
from the C3.  The request is for an icon that provides event notification
and Monitor capability, but no CONNECT privileges.

Is there a possibility, or are the MONITOR and CONNECT so tightly coupled
now that it is unlikely we'll see this feature?

Connie,

  Have the customer add a peripheral to the C3 with the same name as the 
  system in the database, this should have the desired effect for event
  notification, but wont allow the customer to monitor the system 
  unfortunately.

  One of the new privileges we have implemented for the next release is to
  allow a user access to a system, but not be allowed to "connect" this should 
  give your customer the effect they desire.
