Greetings - We have a customer who has a 4200 with ELN console front end. The console receives escape sequences and time stamp information in 20 second intervals but never a line terminator (CR or LF). It appears that once the data overflows the buffer, no more data is sent. PCM of course no longer records any console output when this happens. How does PCM handle data with no line termination characters? Is this a supportable connection? Thanks for the help, Connie

Connie, >>How does PCM handle data with no line termination characters? Is this a >>supportable connection? Well, the data will be logged, but it will only ever have ONE timestamp!! this also means that they will probably never be able to see what the data is as the monitor interface wont be able to display it properly.
